Split
During this trip Split is the anchor and starting point for quite a few ferry trips. This is because the car ferries usually do not have direct connections between the different islands but only to and back from Split. As a result we pass through Split four times with some time to straw around the old town and go shopping on the market.
As we get back from Vis we are quite early in Split and enjoy the empty streets. Usually we would never be walking around before 8 am in the morning. This gives us a unique opportunity.

After taking some pictures on some of the main places that are usually full of tourists we go straight to "our" bakery that we discovered about a week ago during our last stop over. They not only have fantastic bread but also very good Burek. Next to the bakery is the fish market. As we are here this early we buy fresh shrimps for dinner. On the market located at the other end of the old town we buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Doing shopping and some sightseeing like this is fantastic. Unfortunately not something that happens very often to us as we don't get out of bed this early usually.
